Or, if you're feeling foggy (and just super attached to that one) depending on where you are, there should be someone who could powdercoat or ceracote (yeah i probably f***** up the spelling) near you.

I am guessing the straw is the most stained because of the hot beverages, coffee and tea, staining it brown. I use my Stanley for only water. But I definitely see nothing wrong with iced tea and iced coffee in there. I think if you were wanting to use a insulated cup for hot coffee or hot tea, there are better options that are smaller and more meant for sipping on the rim.

I clean it regularly with a silicon brush and Dawn dish soap, and I don't mind that the steel inside is getting stained, mostly from hot and cold tea. I may be in the minority, but I was gifted it to be used, not as a trophy. If you use it for more than water, chances are yours would become stained as well. Or you could put it on a shelf and keep it as a trophy.

I had an old tea mug that had turned brown on the inside over many years of regular uses without a heavy duty cleaning beyond dish soap and water. A couple overnight soaks with hot water and denture cleaner tablets and it was good as new! I prefer them to other solutions because they are made for a dental device so I assume that any lingering reside that didn’t come off in the rinse would be safe to ingest. But in general unless there’s physical damage these cups should last many years.
